Any place in the USA to get Powers 12 year old??

I have been trying to find Powers 12 year old Irish whiskey everywhere I can, yet have come up short. I am graduating from college in 3 weeks and wanted to get something special, and Powers standard is my favorate Irish.

I was wondering if anyone has seen Powers 12 year anywhere here in the United States. Last time I emailed the makers of Powers (about a year ago), they said that they were not importing the 12 year to the US at that time. Just wondering if that changed or if someone is bringing them in on a small basis. I am in Connecticut, and parents live in New Hampshire if someone has seen it in these areas. Anyways, thanks for your help.

You could get it posted from Europe. It might be expensive to buy just one bottle, but you wouldnt' have to pay sales tax as you're outside the EU. Have a look at www.celticwhiskeyshop.com or http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/

Well checked out the websites and the whiskey exchange only has standard Powers and the Powers 7 year. Celtic whiskey shop has Powers 12 year and it is 29.74 Euro ($37.55), but shipping is 23 Euro. So the total comes out to 52.74 Euro ($66.60). If I cannot find it anywhere here, this may be my only choice, although the shipping is almost as much as the whiskey. And they cannot promise it will get through customs and be delivered to my house.

I would post you some, but the postal service in Ireland doubled their prices in one day last month. It's a ripoff. If I come up with anything else, I'll let you know. i think some places in the U.S. do sell it, but I can't find it right off.

You might try contacting Pernod Ricard, as they are the importers of Powers, and if it comes in they would know who they sell it to.

Thats true, I think the importer of Powers has changed since I last contacted them. Didn't the importer of Powers change hands recently?

Well it seems then, I am left with ordering from outside the country and shipping it here. Hmmm I wonder about Canada, worth a try I guess.

I think Powers 12 was a one time deal that was produced for the Millenium. I have only seen it listed in Europe. One website I remember seeing it on was Potstill.com.

It was originally made for the millennium, but they decided to keep it going.
