ProofPositive
This will raise some eyebrows for sure.....but, I have come to enjoy a good peanut butter sandwich with my bourbon at times. While yet to have put my finger on it precisely, the peanut butter 'lifts' something up out of the bourbon. I am not sure what it is since I am not an advanced taster as of yet nor able to disitinguish the particulars of the palate. I realize this is a far cry from steak or a cigar, but, just something unusual & simple I have discovered that is likeable to my tastebuds."They say I'm crazy but I have not the time" - Joe Walsh

ProofPositive
I always thought it was "They say I'm crazy, but I have a good time!"and "Life's been good to me so far!"EdUh-Oh.....not good......my elevator seems to be stopping further and further from the top! You are correct and I better quit trying to recall old lyrics, type clearly, and enjoy Rare Breed all at the same time. At one time I would not have screwed up that bad on lyrics......you know - way, way back there.
gr8erdane
Don't feel so bad, I always thought screwing up the lyrics was part of the fun of music!. Who could forget the classics like:The Beach Boys...Bob Bob Bob, Bob Bob Moran.....

Gillman
Good track, but it was a Pete Townshend solo effort (from the album Empty Glass).Gary

cas
I've not been able to understand the fuss over the recent recording of the national anthem - given that the first line has always been "Jose can you see...".Craig
TimmyBoston
That's what drinking bourbon all night will do to you. But honestly the PB sandwich actually sounds pretty good with bourbon to me, weird but good. scopenut
Can't attest to the peanut butter-bourbon combo, but one thing I enjoy very much with bourbon at times is a high quality dark chocolate. Not alot, but should be the good stuff (70-80% cocoa). The sweet-bitter of the chocolate goes great with the caramel-vanilla of the bourbon, plus the strength of the bourbon clears away much of the lingering sugariness. Anyone else?Kevin
scopenut
As a tribute to the previous off-topic meandering, does/did anyone ever hear the middle 8 of Sting's Every Breath You Take (actual lyrics "how my poor heart aches") as "I'm a pool hall ace" ?Probably not, I'll leave now.....Kevin
ProofPositive
But honestly the PB sandwich actually sounds pretty good with bourbon to me, weird but good. You are right.....it is a lean toward the weird side but believe it or not, the PBS is pretty dang good. It's even better if the bread and butter are slightly on the warm side.....getting weirder! Next thing you know I'll be adding bananas and frying the sandwich. Well, you gotta remember, I'm not too far from Graceland you know.
