clayton
I picked up a couple bottles of Weller 12 last night, and was impressed by the new bottle and label design. I remember Ken saying it was coming, but haven't seen it mentioned yet. It's classier and more befitting the superb product inside. Nice job, BT!Even nicer that it's still ~$20! cowdery
My reading is that a brand such as Weller probably doesn't deserve to have as many expressions as it does and, at least for purposes of building the brand, Buffalo Trace has picked Weller 12 as the horse it is going to ride.As for the claim, "the original wheated bourbon," I fished around to see if they have any support for that of which I am not aware, something that ties wheat uniquely to the Weller name. They haven't. As for a suit, Maker's might have the will but no case, and Fitzgerald might have a case, but not the will.
BourbonBalls
Is that new bottle with a cork or still the screw-on cap?
clayton
It has a black plastic screw-cap identical to the old 12-year bottling.
TimmyBoston
The new packaging looks so much better, but has the formula changed as well?Anybody know of anywhere one can get Weller 12 in Indianapolis? Also how does the Weller 12 compare to the W.L. Weller Centennial 10 yr?
luv2hunt
My House!!! Sorry, couldn't resist!Tim, actually I don't think I've ever seen the Weller 12 in Indianapolis or the surrounding areas. It can be found in Chicago and Kentucky. I could be wrong, because I've never really looked for it.....we went the barrel route :grin:Dawn
