TimmyBoston
I never read anything on the Black Maple Hill 21 and I'm wondering why. I own the 11 and 16 and they are big favorites of mine and I also have enjoyed the 14. Currently, I'm contemplating purchasing the 21, but considering the price, I'd love some feedback from someone with actual tasting experience. Is it worth the money? How does it compare to other high end bourbon? Thanks all
wskybnt
I have the 11 and 14. And really like both. I would like to try the 21 also, there are two places in town that I have seen it. Put that is Pappy 23 $$$. And I want to try it even more, so it may be a while before I get the 21 BMH. Maybe someone who has tried it will chime in.I dont see much metion of the BMH on here. I have really liked the 11 for a while. Just recently tried the 14, and like it alot also.
gr8erdane
I brought a bottle of the 21 to the Gazebo a couple of events back and I thought it was excellent. I didn't think it was as woody as many who later commented on it here did afterward. But many of them have more discerning palettes than I do. All in all, I do prefer the 14 or 16 yo. StraightBoston
I've had the BMH 21 5 times -- 3 from the same friend's bottle and twice at bars. It's my favorite bourbon (the repeat tastings were to confirm that opinion vs. whatever tasted really good to me at that time.) I finally sprung for a bottle of my own but haven't yet opened it. smokinjoe
Where is the price range for the BMH 21? JOE
tsangster
Thoroughly enjoyed a glass at an upscale Atlanta restaurant. Paid $21 for the glass. Outstanding bourbon but for the price of one bottle I'd much rather buy 2-3 bottles of Stagg, Weller, etc. Currently working on a bottle of BMH 11 yo. Again, the bourbon is very enjoyable but I'm not sure that I'll spend the better part of $60 on another.I'm trying to convince friends and family that a bottle of BMH 21 or Pappy 23 would be a nice birthday gift. Not sure that I have enough family or friends to pool that much $ but still trying.
gr8erdane
When I picked mine up last year or before, I searched online shops until I found a good price, and they ranged from mid-80s back then to a tad over a c note.
Virus_Of_Life
Best price I've ever seen is the Wine Exchange in Orange. They sell the 21 year for $74.99 and the 16 for $52.99. They used to have the 11, but do not list it currently.Check them out, I think they do ship www.winex.comCheck the price on Pappy20 also.
