DrinkyBanjo
A friend of mine is going to be visiting Missouri later this week and was wondering if there are any Whiskey related attractions. He will be in the greater KC area. Any help or products that are available down there that we cannot get up here (NJ/NY) would be appreciated. gr8erdane
Wish I could help Tim, but KC is all the way across the state and I have had little luck in the few trips I've been there in finding whiskies. But there is always the possibility that a store there might have something you can't get. Maybe the current David Sherman bottling of David Nicholson 1843 for example. Anything in particular you are looking for these days?
cowdery
I haven't been but McCormick Distilling, located in historic Weston, Missouri, is the oldest continuously operating distillery in the U.S. I don't know if they give tours, but it's not far from K.C.Their web site is here. DrinkyBanjo
Actually, I'm not looking for anything right now since my recent acquisition of WT 12. Of course if I stumbled across something I'd sure I would pick it up but thats an ongoing process. My buddy is taking a trip down there to meet up with his lady friend and he asked me if I knew of anything. I think I'll mention McCormick's and he can handle the rest. Thanks all. hollywood
This reply may be a little late, but I moved to KC from Birmingham, AL about two years ago. I have had trouble finding pours outside of everyday stuff....It has been a struggle....Pretty standard top of the line WT and Beam stuff...you'll find Woodford, and maybe Ridgemont Reserve, but not much top shelf bourbon that you can't find elsewhere. If you find something extra special let me know!!! Thanks, H'wood
