Vange
I was thinking, it might be helpful to have a sticky that we can discuss new bourbon releases or about bourbons coming down the pike. They could be collectibles, new offerings, etc. Some to start with would be BTEC, the new Rye from BT, 4 Grain, etc.It could be just me that thinks this is a great idea, but I thought I would throw it out there and see what happens. FlashPuppy
I believe that is what the Industry News forum is for. Am I wrong?
bobbyc
I believe that is what the Industry News forum is for. Am I wrong?Industry News is for dissemination of information that comes usually from the industry or press pieces about same. They are not to be replied to in that forum, but anyone can start a thread elsewhere about the information found there.
jbutler
I believe that is what the Industry News forum is for. Am I wrong? No you aren't Jeremy. However, IN is a read-only forum for regular users now. If I can open it up reply-only, then perhaps I will. And yeah, what Bobby said too. FlashPuppy
Well then. Clears up that matter. In that case, I am with Evangelos. It would be nice to always have a current reference of the new "must haves".
jbutler
Alright you guys, you should be able to reply to threads in IN now. This should facilitate discussion along the lines of your request. If there's something new in the industry and we post a press release, then y'all can reply and discuss it.

I argue otherwise, but it gets me summarily ignored, so I carry on.:grin:Thanks guys. You are most welcome, and I'm glad you enjoy the site. This is the day that all fellow System Administrators across the globe, will be showered with expensive sports cars and large piles of cash in appreciation of their diligent work. I'm waiting! gr8erdane
Jim, just shipped you a large box of cash, you should see it in the next couple of days.BTW, I sent it COD......
Nebraska
Jim,Unfortunately the box of cash shipped from Dane in Missouri has been quarantined in Nebraska for tax purposes (we tax everything here). The Unicameral here is deciding what tax would apply to said box, or if they need to create 3 more to cover it.In the interim, they did concede that Dane owes $1509.29 in "shipping near Nebraska" tax. Unless he wants to challenge it, in which case if Dane's income is over $150,000 a year the tax will be reduced by half. Income under $45,000 a year and the tax is doubled. Nebraska...the good life. gr8erdane
Dadgummit, that box was supposed to go via Oklahoma to get there SOONER not via Nebraska where those huskers would shuck it clean. As a Mizzou grad I shoulda known that Oklahoma blows and Kansas sucks so it would naturally end up there via the slipstream. Anyhows, I got me a Nebraska Tax waiver signed by Tom Osborne (The King of Nebraska) that should get it back on it's way unless it crosses Colorado where it will need five tries to get it across the state line instead of the four normally needed. As for the apron, it has been either burned or stashed away awaiting a time appropriate for it's reappearance. I'm not saying which or when. But the Fat Tire to New Haven is a possibility since I'll be living less than an hour away from the brewery in a month or so...and Stagg to California? Where do you think I got mine in the first place?
Nebraska
Out trumped by the Osborne card, ... and for your information mister smartie pants, it's not king Osborne, we prefer Saint Tom divine and holy emperor of the nondescript flat lands.
