I'll post this for those who are not on the email list from the the Four Roses Mellow Moments Club:

Dear Members:

The lunches with Mellow Moment Club Members at Limestone in Louisville, and The Lafayette Club in Lexington the last couple weeks were great. Ten to fifteen members, and guests, attended each luncheon and each was a warm venue to talk casually about Four Roses Bourbon, our progress in the Kentucky market, and various upcoming activities and events.

Some of you may have heard rumors about Four Roses introducing another brand this year. We couldn't talk about it earlier, because we had a very tight schedule to meet in order to make the introduction come to fruition in 2006. But, as you have already surmised, all the pieces of a big puzzle have fallen into place and we will introduce Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon this year. Like Single Barrel a couple years ago, Small Batch will officially be introduced during the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in September. I hope many of you can attend some of the Kentucky Bourbon Festival events this year, including Let's Talk Kentucky Bourbon on Friday September 15th at 9:30 AM at the Four Roses Distillery, in Lawrenceburg. The morning will begin with a tasty Kentucky style breakfast, and then I'll talk for an hour or so about the history of Bourbon, the process, and Four Roses Small Batch. Afterwards, everyone will be given an opportunity to tour the distillery, and return to our gazebo to sample Small Batch and Single Barrel. Rain or shine, Four Roses Bourbon will reign supreme on this day. For more information about the Kentucky Bourbon Festival please visit its website: www.kybourbonfestival.com, or you may call 1-800-638-4877, extensions 107, 108 or 109 to talk to one of the staff personnel.

As you know, Four Roses is the only distillery that makes more than one flavor Bourbon to be used in its various brands. In fact, we make ten Bourbon flavors annually. Four of those flavors were chosen to blend together in a carefully handcrafted formula to generate an exceptionally flavorful Small Batch Bourbon. Of course, our Small Batch is mellow and smooth, as are all Four Roses Bourbons.

We will provide a "sneak preview" tasting of our Small Batch Bourbon for our Mellow Moments Club members. Three days have been set aside from 10 AM to 2 PM for MMC members to drop by the distillery to sample our newest product line. I hope many of you can make it on one of these days: August 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Our tasting lab will be used for you to sit back and relax and be one of the very first people to sample a great new Kentucky Bourbon. I'll be here with you during the tastings to talk and listen to your candid comments.

Because of our supportive sponsorship of the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, Four Roses has prime seating at the night of the Great Bourbon Tasting and Gala. Our Gala tables are near the front of the dance floor. We will reserve two tables of 8 for MMC members to join us that evening. (If the requests are greater than 16 people I will try to get an additional table or tables.) The cost of a ticket to attend this Bourbon Festival event is $135 and it is a "black-tie" affair. Each of our MMC guests that evening will be presented a bottle of Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon. Since seating is limited, please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to attend. Also, some Four Roses personnel are spending the night at the Seelbach Hotel in Louisville. If you would like to join us the corporate room rate is $135 and transportation will be provided to and from the Gala.

On Thursday, September 14 of Bourbon Festival week, we will host a luncheon, exclusive to MMC members, at the Four Roses Distillery under our gazebo. If you're interested in visiting us that day, and meeting other enthusiastic MMC members please call or email us soon - pre-registration is required. The food will be plentiful, and this is another opportunity for our members to get a preview of Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon.

I look forward to seeing many of you at various times during the next couple months. If you have a hard time catching up with me during festival week, or getting me to slow down for a minute to talk, it's because for the fourth consecutive year I am chairman of the Bourbon Festival, and it keeps me a quite busy. However, I look forward to sharing some Mellow Moments with you at Four Roses, and at other events, during Festival week.

Come and share the excitement with us!

Warmest Regards,

Jim Rutledge

Master Distiller

Cool, looked it up to see what I could find out.

At least we know it's 90 proof, but the label doesn't look like it'll be one of the super-cool bottles that they send overseas.

Well, not exactly a scoop; I'm sure others received this email. But it is great news! I'm a huge fan of the FRSB and looking forward to this. I also like the extras Four Roses is doing from a marketing angle for the MMC.
