pabourbongal
I'm headed to Wheeling, W.Va. in a few weeks, then to Morgantown a week after that. Does W. Va. sell spirits in the grocery stores? Is there a "must see" place to stop in either of these towns to sample and/or purchase some fine bourbon? Forgive the innocence of these questions. My best drinking years were spent in the Washington, D.C. area and on the West Coast, where the sale of alcohol isn't nearly as restrictive as it is here in PA, my current locale. I am clueless as to what W. Va. has to offer. Thanks in advance.
TNbourbon
One thing I'd look for is Isaiah Morgan West Virginia rye, for two reasons -- it's unaged, so is a sort of 'white dog' rye, which can be educational; and, its creator died earlier this year, so may or may not be in existence long.I believe only West Virginia (and, perhaps, Pennsylvania) stocks it.
