DrinkyBanjo
Okay, just got back. I purchased a Redbreast 15 Year Old from the Celtic Whiskey Shop. I also purchased a "Golden Irish" which is sold by Dunnes Stores. It is Cooley whiskey and is supposed to be quite good but I've yet to try it.Anyone else out there have it yet? brockagh
I've had the Golden Irish. It's kind of like tyrconnell. Quite nice, but I would not say it's brilliant. It's a sweet malty whiskey. Enjoyable. Jim Murray gives it something like 93/100.The Redbreast 15, on the other hand, is brilliant (in my opinion, of course). It is quite sherried, so if you like that...Hope you had a good time in Ireland.
DrinkyBanjo
Basically spent the time visiting with my wife's family. Her sister lives in Naas so we spent an afternoon in Dublin. That is when I did my visit to Celtic Whiskey and some cigar shops on Grafton Street. Her mother lives in Galway so I took a few trips into the city. Basically a good relaxing trip! Unfortunately everyone was on me about the Ryder Cup the entire time!

DrinkyBanjo
Another phrase I ignore like the plague when in Eire. I wish more people wanted to discuss Whiskey like the enthusiastic gentleman I met at The Celtic Whiskey Shop!
brockagh
Yeah, you're dead right. I know the staff at the Celtic Whiskey Shop. They're all very nice.
