Nebraska
I currently have about 59 open right now.I reach for these the on a repeated basis (the most):Rittenhouse Rye 100 BIBOGD BIB 100VWFRR lot"H"AAA 10yoThese are not generally speaking my favorites. I like all of them very much. This type of list for me is based on, a. How much do I have bunked, b. How available is it (can it be easily replaced), c. Do I have an over all liking for this product. barturtle
I try to keep my open bottles to a half dozen or so (but this tends to rise and fall) There is almost always a bottle of VROHH 10yo and some bottling of OC as well as a rye (currently Saz Jr). There's always a wheater too. These may not always be the fastest to be emptied in the stash, but they're always there.
JDutton
I'm fairly new to bourbon, but have a few open bottles at the moment:I drink WT101 the most (usually mixed). On the rocks I usually choose Evan Williams SB 95. I also currently have open bottles of WT Rare Breed, Buffalo Trace and my newest acquisition, EC 18. EricABQ
I've consumed more Russell's Reserve (101 and 90) than any other bourbon.
smokinjoe
To me, variety is the spice of life. So, I have dozens of bottles open, and I go to nearly all of them with regularity. Right now, the most hittable would be the Very Rare Old Heaven Hill 10yr. and the Very Old Barton 100.JOE
BobA
I've got a bunch open, but would guess that I drink more OGD 114 than anything else.Bob
gothbat
Most often I drink Fighting Cock 103 or Wild Turkey 101. There is almost always a bottle of either of those in my stash and I’ve probably consumed more Fighting Cock 103 than any other spirit. On the weekends I typically go for the top shelf stuff but I keep it pretty varied so that these bottles are around to be enjoyed for a while. ThomasH
I am definitely a WT person, be it RR101, Rare breed, Kentucky Spirit etc. as long as it is 101 or higher it works for me. I have near 100 bourbons and almost all are open. I also like all of the BT brands and drink them regularly also!
jburlowski
Like many of us here, a fairly wide variety open at any one time. Which ones drank most often? Or, put another way, the "go to" pour? Probably ETL or one of the Wellers....

FlashPuppy
Almost everything I have (one of each that is) is open, but my ol' reliable drink is WT101. No matter how much nice stuff I have open, I seem to crave the 101 all the time.
ProofPositive
I try to keep my open bottles to a half dozen or so (but this tends to rise and fall)My sentiments exactly although right now I probably have 10-12 open. My steady companion more than any others is Blanton's followed very, very closely by ETL. At present, both of them are local retailer select barrels which I very much enjoy. A fantastic program offered by BT and one I hope they continue to offer to retailers. As for what I 'would' consume the most if I kept it on hand, that would be WTRB hands down. However, due to my inability to know when to stop when I open a bottle of RB and having suffered the effects of over indulgence on too many 'next days', I no longer keep it on hand on a regular basis. Some things in life are just too good to enjoy too often!
CrispyCritter
Hmmmmmmmmmm. I tend to favor variety overall, but there are some definite favorites. Van Winkle bourbons and ryes (damn, I wish VWFRR would reappear here!), Rittenhouse BIB rye, BT, ETL, Stagg (need I say more?), various Wellers, WT, Old Fitzgerald BIB, Sazerac Jr. or 18yo, Beam Black... wow, there are a lot of tasty bourbons and ryes out there! cowdery
I probably have six to ten bottles open at any given time and drink among them, opening new ones as old ones are finished. But as I think about it, both Very Old Barton BIB and Rittenhouse Rye BIB are almost always in the mix, and there will always be at least one wheater.I'm not counting the bottles I have open but pushed to the back of the cabinet because they're so awful. Also, I have a quibble with the grammar of the subject line. Shouldn't it be, "bourbon most often drinked"? (Pronounced "drink-ed.")
Edward_call_me_Ed
Also, I have a quibble with the grammar of the subject line. Shouldn't it be, "bourbon most often drinked"? (Pronounced "drink-ed.")Bourbon most often drunk. I would really prefer Bourbon drunk most often. Or, if I am honest, Bourbon I get drunk on most often!Ed
Edward_call_me_Ed
To answer your question, it is hard to say, I go in cycles. A half a dozen bottles will be my clear favorite for a while. Then I won't drink those for a while and another three or four will claim my allegiance. I have well over 100 bottles open. Some of them are open because I don't want to throw them out, but aren't really in the rotation. I just don't want to drink them. Most, however, are just waiting for me to be in the mood for them again. I do have a way to determine what I value over the long haul. I have a bunch of 200 ml bottles that once contained I. W. Harper Gold Label. I have washed them and removed the labels. I then fill them with my favorites. I do that so that I can grab a plastic case with five bottles of the good stuff as I head out the door to a party where I will have to choose between beer and a crap Japanese blend whiskey. I used to use a flask, but found that I was always washing my flask out so I could fill it with a different bourbon. Now I just fill it with the same bourbon, no washing. Here are the bottles I have thus filled. In no particular order:Eagle Rare 101 10 year oldBooker'sElmer T. LeeOld Grand Dad 114Elijah Craig 12 year oldWild Turkey 8 year oldWild Turkey Rare BreedEvan William's 12 year oldI. W. Harper Gold Label is in the mix too.I also have a bottle for Manhattan mix. I also have a couple of other bottles for nonbourbon spirits.Ed
Nebraska
I am impressed Ed, not surprised but impressed (100 bottles).By the way, I made a few calls and am trying to get some fun pours lined up for us when you get here. I'm hoping I can get it together, otherwise I'll do a few others we can fall back on. Looking forward to meeting you. PM me when you know your dates. RedVette
As with the others here, I tend to go through a rotation, and like some I have a rule, that if it is in my cabinet, it is open. I do know that if Buffalo Trace were available in Oklahoma it would easily be my most consumed. Whenever I have a bottle around it is my go-to brand, ditto for Sam Houston, if it is around I drink it.I fly United Airlines a lot so when I travel Jim Beam Black, unless I am on Delta then it is Woodford. My country club has four or five Bourbon's on the shelf, WTRB being the go-to of those. At home, available in OK, OGD BIB has to be the most consumed Bourbon...this year. robbyvirus
I've probably got about 30 bottles open, but my most-frequent "go to" pour is probably Weller 12 yo.
mrt
Many bourbon brands mentioned on SB aren't available here, at least I haven't seen them on the shelves, yet. Among the available ones, the two that I drink most often are Jim Beam Black and Early Times.I hope to see a wider variety of brands here in the future...
