Guest **DONOTDELETE**
Friday night after the Bourbon Heritage Panel we all met at the Gen'l Nelson (StraightBourbon HQ) for our first annual Fun Raiser. It was a roaring success! The food was great and the bourbon was better. We took over a large gazebo in a nice grassy area in back of our HQ and the party began. The Gazzbo as it quickly came to called also served as The Bourbonian Embassy in Bardstown.Friday night was so much fun we did it again the next night. This time Julian P. Van Winkel III droped in for some fun, as he is after all a registered Bourbonian just like the rest of us.There was so much fun happening that everybody needs to chime in on this one! There was plenty of picture taking and digital imaging being done so there should be no shortage of incriminating evidence to show the world how wild we can be.Linn SpencerHave Shotglass. cowdery
Especially fun on Saturday night were the many people who "crashed" the party. They were welcome, of course. It's a tribute to any party and to the fun, welcoming people participating that others want to join in ... and feel like they can.I would add too that the party went on until about 3:00 AM, so thanks are due to all the anonymous neighbors who never once complained.--Chuck Cowdery
Edited by cowdery on Mon Sep 17 11:57:15 2001 (server time).
Forbes
Wow! What a great time we had Saturday night. Imagine our surprise when we were sitting in the gazebo enjoying some Blantons single barrel when we were surrounded by other bourbon-lovers. You were gracious enough to let us join you in tasting while discussing the finer points of bourbon! Thanks again. It was great to learn about StraightBourbon.com. Looking forward to visiting often!Todd & Peggy

Guest **DONOTDELETE**
Todd and Peggy,Good to hear from you and thanks for allowing us to over run the gazebo. If you had only been forwarned... But anyway I hope you realise that we are not always that insane. It usually takes a few bourbons to get us going.Mike Veach

johnrobe
It was great fun meeting everyone! I regret that I was only able to make to the festival for one day. Next time I will certainly heed Linn's advice to bring more that one pair of pants! :-)
