Bourbon Tasting How To?

I'm organizing a bourbon tasting for next week. I've pretty much settled on a selection of 10 year olds from different distilleries and I want to include the Van Winkle 10yr. 107 in the mix. As the others are all 100 proof with the exception of WTRR at 101, my question is whether, for the sake of fairness, I should bring the 107 down to 100 proof or just leave it as is? We're tasting blind.

Also, as I am mathematically challenged, if anyone could provide me with the formula to get me to the lower proof, I'd be greatful.

Mike, if history is any indication you'll be able to pick that one out without too much trouble :lol: . You're not just trying to get other people to help you drink that stuff now are you? :slappin:

Considering all the bottle of RR 101 I laid in last year, I gotta start using 'em up, Christian.

Spurred on by fond memories of our Wild Turkey shoot last summer, I just did a little blind comparison of the 10 and the 12 yr. One sip was all it took. Picked the one from the other right off. That extra 2 yrs smooths without taming it. Good whiskey either way.
