Well it doesn't do much good now and it wasn't a very long bit anyway, but Woodford Reserve was featured in a documentary last night. My wife and kids like a program on the Food Channel called "Unwrapped" where they go behind the scenes to find out how different products are prepared. Last night as I was passing through the room, I heard the word bourbon and stuck around for a nice little 5 minute presentation on the making of Woodford Reserve.

Made me thirsty.

Is there any word when Brown-Forman is going to release the pot-still run of Woodford Reserve? My Batch 219 bottle doesn't have an age statement on it, but I read online that WR had not released the pot-still run yet, and that my bottle was from a run out of another distillery.

Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select is and always will be a mixture of pot still whiskey made at the Woodford distillery and column still whiskey made in Shively. This has been true of every batch since number 90. Before that it was all Shively.

Their limited edition Four Grain is the only 100 percent pot still whiskey they have released. There reportedly will be other limited release 100 percent pot still products in the future.
