Rughi
If my memory is correct, today is the 10th anniversary of the Heaven Hill fire. It is clear that Heaven Hill has risen Phoenix-like from these ashes to a position where today they are known not for a disaster, but for ever increasing production, innovation (with Bernheim wheat, the first straight wheat since at least prohibition), and bringing well aged, delicious products to the market (EC18, Rittenhouse 21).It is also clear that the familial reputation of Kentucky bourbon makers still held true, as stills at Beam, Shively, and Bernheim were made available to help Heaven Hill weather through their setback.Three cheers for Heaven Hill and Kentucky Bourbon!Roger

CrispyCritter
Let's not forget the lovely Rittenhouse Ryes as well - mighty good. It's looking like I'll never see the 21yo version let alone drink it, but the BIB and even the young 80-proof are mighty fine ryes. Not only that, but the BIB, especially, is an incredible bang-for-the-buck pour. Let's hope it stays that way!
