Eagle Rare 101 10 yr

I recently read a thread where someone was telling about an ample supply of this discontinued bourbon in their area. Try as I might, I have not been able to get the search to retrieve the thread!

Can anyone else find the thread? Better yet, can anyone else still buy ER 101 10yr in their area?

If it is indeed obtainable, I would be interesting in getting a bottle or two or three, be it by trade, cash, whatever.

There is still alot of Eagle Rare 101, here in TEXAS. I find it all the time. I think the Louisiana Old Prentice is superior, but the Frankfort is fine.

I saw two bottles in a small local shop 3 days ago.

Untouched / covered in dust. Happy to pick them up for you.

They were approx. $19 each and I'm in the Houston metro area.

Also just responded to a "New to Straight Bourbon" Seeking Eagle Rare 101 posting - I reckon first come first served.

Let me know - I can hit this shop at just about any time.

Binny's here in Chicago told me that they have a bunch of the 375ml bottles left. They are going for 8 bucks here. I pick one up just about every time I'm in there.

I have seen some at Loading Dock Liquors in Baltimore (down in Fells Point). Not sure if they still have some, but they did as of a few weeks ago.

I bought a liter of this today for $26. I tried it, and I like it a lot. I am dissapointred to read that they are not making it anymore.

The ERSB is 90 proof, but also 10 years old.

ER and BT are from the same mashbill:

Mash Bill # 1 (low rye) - Old Charter, Eagle Rare, George T. Stagg, Buffalo Trace

Mash Bill # 2 (high rye) - Ancient Age, Elmer T. Lee, Rock Hill Farms, Hancock’s Reserve, Blanton’s

Please note that the 'high' and 'low' regarding rye is relative. Neither of Buffalo Trace's mashbills contains more than about 10%-12% rye.

Anybody know the percentage of rye Beam uses in the mashbill for OGD 114? Also, is there much difference in the current mashbill as opposed to the one used for OGD 114 in pre-Beam days? That is probably nearly impossible to answer - but, just curious. I note some differences in the two but nothing to keep me from enjoying either one......anytime!
