Gillman
Excellent report from Lenell, lots happening in craft distilling in New York. Was Triple 8's Nor'Easter craft-made locally or bulk-sourced? I am not sure, I thought the latter.Anyway, things are heating up. A peated rye? Wow.Gary
CrispyCritter
Not only did he put corn whiskey in barrel, but he made a 4 grain, a peated rye, some malt whiskey, plus various other spirits.A peated rye - now that sounds intriguing. I hope it works out well!
cowdery
I have been very critical of craft distillers in general so even though I haven't tried this stuff, on paper, at least, this is what craft distillers should be doing. For all the whiners who say the federal regs are too restrictive, here is somebody who has managed to make a product he can sell a few months after he made it and is still able to put "bourbon" on the label.See, now that wasn't so hard, was it?
