What's Your Recommendation?

We've tasted our way through many of the most-highly recommended bourbons on this forum, and now we're looking for something more like an "everyday" pour that is flavorful but won't break the bank if two people want to have 2 or 3 pours in an evening. Say, something less than $30 for 1.75L.

I've read the "Blue Collar Whiskey", the "What Would You Drink in a Pinch", and the "How Low Would You Go" threads, so I have that information. I know we could go out and buy one of every low/middle shelf pour on the market and taste test 'em all, but I'm hoping you guys can save us some time and money.

I'd like to pose this question like a Virtual Blind Tasting in reverse. We give you a list of our current favorites, you recommend the low/middle shelf pour you think would best suit our tastes. Our favorite bourbons are:

Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel

Eagle Rare 10 y/o

Virginia is an ABC state so we don't have access to all the bourbons mentioned on this forum, but the ones most commonly available in the low/middle shelf price range include:

I happen to like George Dickel #12 for this category, but my son does not. Is there a bourbon in this list that you think we'd prefer over the others based on the preferences expressed in our Top-5 list?

Everyone should jump on the 10-year-old 1783 while they still can. Heaven Hill is dropping age statements and, therefore, the age of all of its "best buy" brands.

Hey fellas,

I don't know how many of these will be available but here goes: Tom Moore BiB, Benchmark, Old Charter , 1792 Ridge. Reserve, Wild Turkey Rye, Overholt Rye, or any wheater (Fitz, Rebel Yell, Weller, VanWinkle). Some of Bartons products should be there or there is always Virginia Gentelmen. I have tried all of these and have not been disappointed.
