alphaiii
Lately I've seen prices of Dickel #12 jump a bit. I had found it as low as 12.99 before, but it's jumped to 14.99 at that store, I've seen it as high as 18.99.Has anyone else noticed the prices go up in your area too? Anyone know if there is a specific reason for this, or is it just because it sells well and they can squeeze a few more bucks a bottle out of us consumers? OscarV
I do know that Dickel is short on inventory. So you know how the old supply and demand theory goes. They have cut out slow markets from getting any #8, and only keeping it on the sheves in the stronger markets until they age some more.I gotta get another bottle of #12, even at that new high price it is worth it.It is one of my favorite whisky. nor02lei
It is one of my favorite whisky.Oscar,I did pop a number 12 open just recently after a long layoff. Very good whiskey as you say but not at all typical American straight as I see it. The tranquil and elegant notes I find in it aren’t the things I normally associate with straight whiskey.Leif

ThomasH
In Ohio, Dickel #12 went from 15.50 to 22.80 in less than 2 years. Quite a steep increase!Thomas
cowdery
If I didn't know better, and I don't, I would think--based on this and some other decisions made over the last few years--that Diageo is doing its best to run this brand into the ground. Too bad.
