RedVette
I just returned from a Royal Caribbean cruise. In the 13 bars on the ship they stocked, Beam White, Knob Creek, Bookers and Blantons, plus some dregs. I don't know how much the Beam White was because I didn't have any wallpaper that needed peeling, but the Knob Creek was $6 plus tax and tip and the Bookers was $8. The big surprise came when I ordered a Blantons, it was $5.50. At first I thought it was a mistake, but it came up $5.50 at every bar I tried (and I tried 'em all). When an order of Blantons is less expensive than an order of Knob Creek, things are good. Now it is time to give the liver a rest, it got a major work out last week. ggilbertva
I took a Royal Caribbean cruise in February and they didn't even have the decency to carry Blanton's. The only thing they had was Jack Daniels, Jim Beam White and a couple of other trash whiskey's. I asked one bartender about the poor selection of Bourbons and he said they just aren't big sellers so RC has discontinued carrying some items. If you found Blanton's you more than likely hit a ship that has some leftover stock.
Ambernecter
Wow!They say that nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina...A bar well stocked with decent Bourbon on a relaxing cruise - screw CarolinaI'm headed to THAT bar!
RedVette
If you found Blanton's you more than likely hit a ship that has some leftover stock.Something doesn't jive. I was on Radiance of the Seas last week, one of their more popular vessels. Every bar had the brands I mentioned, and several of them had to open a new bottle of Blantons to fulfill my request. Every RCCL ship I have ever been on (Majesty, Splendour, Rhapsody, Navigator, and Radiance) has had most of the Beam small batch collection on board, plus Blantons. Only Bakers and Basil Haydens has been hit or miss, all 5 had Knob and Bookers.

In fact, I asked one bartender for Jim Beam Black Label.....he brought me JB Black. I'm telling you, they didn't carry Basil, KC, Bookers or Blanton's. I was stuck with sipping on Jim Beam White. Believe me, if I had better choice, I would have taken it.
