VW Lot B in WA.

I see it so infrequently, I thought I would pass it along. The Issaquah Store has a case of Lot B. $40.50. They ordered it several months ago along with some VW 15 which is still back ordered.

Grab it while you can! $40 seems a tad high but I guess it will only get more expensive since it's a great bourbon.

I really enjoy it, and did pick up a bottle. For some reason I have no problem paying up to about $30.00. I don't know why? Once it goes over that I hem and haw, and walk back and forth...What’s up with that?

So I had about $40 to burn. $5 either way does not offer up much here in WA. At the store I was in, my only other choices in that price zone were Basil Hayden or WT RB. I can get the WT RB all the time, so it was a no brainier for me, I walked out with the Lot B.

Since it is "technically" illegal for me to mail order to WA. I still try and find a surprise here and there in the stores. My trip to AZ did not reveal any bottles I can't get at home. One day I will get to KY, I will probably have to drive to bring home my booty!

I anxiously await the arrival of the VW 15...I will pick up a couple of those if the paychecks are fat. It never ends...

It appears that WA is as limited as VA. Although, I must say that VA is getting better over time, but it's a slow process. I'm constantly bugging the manager of my local ABC about broadening the selection but his hands are tied by the ABC overlords that control selection and distribution. My saving grace is that I'm only a 20 min drive to MD which is not controlled so the selection is quite good. Also, VA now allows the import via mail of spirits up to 1 gallon per transaction. That helps a great deal as I've been able to order harder to find items from Binnys.com and Shoppersvineyard.com. If you find rare treats like Lot B, do yourself a favor and pick up more than 1 bottle. :grin:
