Old Lamplighter
I was in a store a few days ago which had the Small Batch Collection in a small wooden case (I would assume shipped that way from the distillery) with a price tag of $219 for all four of 750ml bottles. Is that a decent price, and, is there anything special/better about these early bottles than more recent bottling? My guess is there is not......except maybe for the collector which I am not. The only difference I noted from the present bottling was the original or first Baker's label and of course, the different proof of Booker's which can always varies slightly from barrel to barrel. Thanks,Jake
ggilbertva
Jake, I think you answered your own question. I'm not a BH fan and I typically do not go for KC. The Bookers and Bakers on the other hand are fine pours. I personally wouldn't purchase the "box-o-bourbon".
Pharaoh
Costco was selling 3 pack baskets of the B's (Baker's, Booker's, Basil Hayden's) for $99. That obviously was a great price but even taking "great price" into consideration, how much more could a missing bottle of Knob be? I'm hopeful you can do better than $219.
