Luna56
Hey everybody-Almost picked this up tonight but wound up with an EC12 instead (in a hurry). Ever tried it? I know Eagle Rare made a 17yo, this is the first time I've seen the SB18. Next time I'll act on impulse and just buy it. How does it compare to the SB10?Cheers,eg
wadewood
If possible, how about a picture? Eagle Rare SB 18 would not be a standard bottling, it could have been a special barrel purchase for the store you saw it.
Joeluka
Are you sure your not confusing the names and saw an Elijah Craig 18 SB??
cowdery
In other words, the senior Eagle Rare is 17-years-old and not a single barrel. The Eagle Rare Single Barrel is 10 years old.
Gillman
Separate point, but I believe ER 17 years old was actually over 18 years when last bottled. (I recall reading this on the board some time ago).Gary
cowdery
Since it's not a SB, it likely is a mixture of whiskeys 17-years and older.
Luna56
Hey, sorry if I kept anybody hanging here; turns out it was Elijah Craig 18. I was in a hurry and must've gotten confused by the rather similar typefaces that appear on the ER bottle and the EC container. Sorry if I corn-fused anybody.Cheers!
