cowdery Posted February 21, 2002 Share Posted February 21, 2002 It was established near Pittsburgh, in Schenley, in 1836 (or maybe 1850. Sources differ), by Joseph Finch. Finch's ancestors had been distillers as well. Golden Wedding was the company's number 1 brand. Schenley Distillers Corp. bought it in 1924.The Joseph Finch bourbon released back in 1997 had nothing to do with the Finch distillery, except for using the name.
