Pappy 20 anyone?

For those of you who like Pappy 20, Shoppers Vineyard in New Jersey is selling it right now for 67 bucks + shipping. Not a bad price.

Wow, what a selection they have. They're not allowed to ship to PA though are they Joe? Have you been to the brick and mortar store? Is their "in-house" selection equally as impressive?Many of the prices are right in line with PA, though I noticed some are significantly higher.

This store is in my neck of the woods, they keep the same inventory in the store as their web page. Sometimes the web pages lists things they do not carry any more but that is because they can be slow to update the page. Everything listed on the page was once on the shelves.

Also, STAY OUT OF THERE! I don't need you guys buying up all of the good stuff!

Don't worry. It's just far enough away to prevent me from making regular trips. But I could see making a special trip up one of these days. Probably a 2 hour trip or so.

I definitely prefer the 15 year over the 20 year as well. The 20 year is very good but a little over-oaked for my preference. The 15 year hits it just right...

I'll take the other route, Pappy 20 is my favorite bourbon of all time as of now.

I'll take either bottle, but find the 15yo easier to drink every day. The 20yo is something I'd probably only drink on a weekend.

Having said that, I don't own a bottle of 20yo, but was lucky enough to share Scott (Hightower's) bottle when he opened it, so my opinion is based off of one tasting session... I think I need to explore more

My thoughts exactly... love both pours. Both are outstanding. But, for some reason, the 15 hits the sweet spot for me. Hope that continues to be true as they switch over to BT barrels. (Although, as long as Julian and family are doin' the pickin', it'll always be great bourbon!)

It doesn't matter that much if it's SW whiskey or not. What matters most is the taste, feel, and experience. Where there has been an excellent track record in the past, count on the same in the future.

I'll chime in just for fun. I prefer the 15, but I believe only because of the additional proof. I think that additional 'kick' adds something that I really like.

I waver between the 15 and the 20; the 15 has does have a kick to it and the flavor itself is great but the 20 tastes like it has maraschino cherries in it which I really like and seldom taste in other bourbons so it's a tough call.

I have an old unopened bottle of bourbon that says VERY RARE COLLECTORS ITEM AGED 20 YEARS GENUINE OLD STYLE SOUR MASH bottled in KY by dowling distillers lawrenceburg KY i cant find anything a/b dowling distillers or anything a/b this bottle should i taste it or hold on to it what is the value of an old bottle of bourbon
