There's a string of Maker's Mark tastings going on in Australia at the moment, and they are being conducted by a woman who works at the distillery.....her name is Jane Conner. I couldn't find any information on her, does anyone know anything about her?

It seems Maker's Mark just went up $5 down here...maybe that was to pay for her trip over here!

Jane Conner is, in fact, a new "Whisky Chick" for Maker’s Mark. She was specifically hired to take care of the UK … but is assuming some other international duties as well.

Hey Scott, is there any information on her comming to Brisbane?

If so, is it open to the public?

It is nice to see women active in the promotion of, in this case, a Tennessee whiskey.

Taste buds are taste buds.

We need more whiskey chicks and bourbon babes.

I have gotten the misses to drink a few Jack and Cokes lately. But the mood has to strike her just right. Married women are like that:cool:

When did Maker's Mark move? The last time I visited, they were in Kentucky.

Sorry, bonehead mistake. I'm sick and running a fever and apparently can't keep threads straight.

Hope it's nothing a warm whiskey won't cure - get well soon!

Jane will be in the below cities for the balance of her Australia trip:

Brisbane July 16-21

Perth July 23-25

Adelaide July 26-29

Jane is spending each am training the distributor sales people and afternoon / evenings conducting tasting in very nice bottle shops.

I am working on getting exact locations for Brisbane.

The marketing team are all ladies and have refered to themselves as Whiskey Chicks as long as I have known them.

Dale, thanks heaps for the dates. If Jane is in Brisbane from 16-21 July, then Scott and I will try and get to at least one and say G'day . (As it turns out, I'm out of MM at the moment, so I'll probably pick up a couple of bottles in the process ;)...might even cary one of my Ambassador cards as well  )

No problem .... I have sent her an e-mail asking for details for next week. As soon as I hear, I will post the info. It may not be until Monday.

By all means take your card along. And have a wee dram for me.

We (Scott - Hightower and myself) managed to catch up with Jane at Vintage Cellars in George St Brisbane. She was a wealth of information and is a fantastic abassador for Makers Mark. It was a great hour or so

Jane, if you read this, thanks so much for your time and endless patience with our questions

I'm so glad you found her. My e-mail for her must be wrong. It bounced and I could not get ahold of anyone that had a detailed list of her schedule.

When I am able to e-mail her, I will pass along your comments.
