...It was very good.

Once I heard it was a rye bourbon, I thought that I wouldn't like it. But, I believe it was Brad (IllFarmBoy) who said it's light rye and to not compare its composition to Wild Turkey Tribute which I didn't like at all.

Sure enough, Brad was correct. Stagg is some very tasty bourbon indeed. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the best I've tasted but it certainly ranks up there.

Thanks Brad and everyone else who helped.

Regards,

Mark Brown

Also, the other night I tried the W.L. Weller 10 yo, which is actually a special 13yo single barrel bottling put out by Julio's Liquors in MA and it was very good as well.

Anybody in MA, I would suggest picking it up if you like wheated bourbons.

Not to promote my own thread, but I just had my third sitting with Stagg last night and the stuff is just full of flavor. Initially I said "I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the best I've tasted but it certainly ranks up there," but I've changed my mind. To me, George T. Stagg (Fall '05) is the best bourbon I have ever had in my short broubon-drinking life. It's better, in my opinion, than any Pappy out there, including PVW20, which I used to consider the best. Not anymore. Stagg beats out PVW in all it's brands. What a great bourbon!!!!
