TroyM
Hi Guys, We dont see much of the Old Fitzgerald products down here in Australia. Could someone please tell me how they rate the 1849 and Very Special 12 in terms of the bourbons on the markets these days?
mozilla
I recently compared my bottle of 1849 and Bib both from current production. I really like the Bib as a usual pour. The 1849 was the new bottle in my collection. After tasting it I wasn't even sure that it was still wheated. It carries more barrel and rye type flavor than the Bib. If you like EC12 or a more flavorful Fitz Bib it's worth a try. Seems like it was less than $15/ 750ml.Jeff M.
jburlowski
The VSOF is one of my favorite wheaters.

ThomasH
The 1849 and VSOF are both great bourbons. The 1849 can be had for about 15.00 and the VSOF for around 30.00 or so. I bought a VSOF from the original 1990's BHC collection just a few months ago for 27.00!Thomas

texascarl
Dang, I'm a lot happier buying Aussie Tawny Port and assorted 'stickies' at the going rate of exchange after seeing that. FWIW, the 1849 is in my 'daily pour' rotation. Nice whiskey, don't think I'd pay that much for it, tho.
