nor02lei
I did taste Tribute 110 about 2 months ago. I got a bit confused since it didn’t taste as I did remember the 101 version. Much lighter and more tranquil. It’s also a “furniture polish†taste element that I can’t remember. I did have it side by side with the split label WT 12 export version and the 12 seamed huge in comparing. I did re-taste the 110 today and it did seem to have woken up a bit from the oxidation but it’s still lither than I can remember the 101 version. Labels don’t give much of a clue, it could be ether way. On the other hand when first tasting RR 90 I couldn’t believe it was the same bourbon as RR 110. Side by side it seemed very likely though. I have the 101 in my bunker but its not the kind of bottle that I pop open just like that just to do a side by side. Is it anybody else that have had Tribute 101 and 110 side by side or at least had them both that can bring me some light in this matter?Leif

Hedmans Brorsa
If I remember right, the Tribute 110 was pretty expensive from the beginning, as well, Leif (which is why I completely ignored it). Trouble is, in recent years, the retailers seems to have become more aware about the collector´s attraction of WT. Some five years ago I bought the WT 17yo (also from TWE) and got it for a reasonable price. Not dirt cheap, mind you, but it wasn´t as the wallet cried for mercy, either. I see that the Rittenhouse 21yo also commands an outrageous price which means it will probably not end up in my house. It´s not that I can´t afford it but after doing the maths, I draw the conclusion that I can get 2 or 3 other whiskies for that price. A fool and his money...
