No, I wouldn't pay $115 on e-bay. It's still available in KY for $60-$65

Really? That low? With as many members as we have, and the fact that we knew in advance of release, you would think we would get at least double that...heck, Dawn alone accounts for over 1%...

At least 70% of the people at the distillery, buying the Rutledge during festval, were NOT SB.com members.

I saw lots of buttles, hundreds, leave the gift shop with muggles. (non-sb.com folk)

I'm wondering what the percentage of bottles that were distributed vs sold at the distillery.

Well we are now at 105...No Timothy I did not miscount this time, a friend brought me 2 more last night, not remebering the bottling now. I'll blame that on a half empty Saz 18.

I was unable to obtain a bottle of this but I was able to get a pour of it from the charity tasting table at Whiskyfest for $20. It was good, but it lacked the kick I was expecting. If I come across a reasonably priced bottle of this sometime I'll buy it.

But they already do, through distributors and retail outlets, based on the simple laws of supply and demand, there simply isn't enough supply to meet demand. Every distillery would love to be able to have enough stock to put on shelves across the country and world, but they also don't want to have the oversupply issues they had in the 70s and 80s.

Unless I'm horribly mistaken, I cannot order at bottle of the 40th through any outlet in California. This also goes hand in hand with my gripe about export-only bottlings.
