ratcheer
I bought a 6-pack of Woodchuck Cider from Green Mountain Cidery in Vermont. The store I was in had Amber, Granny Smith, and Pear types. I chose the Amber.I was afraid it might be a lot like beer, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It tastes like apple cider with some carbonation and an alcohol kick (it states on the carton that it is 5%). It is exactly what I'd hoped it would be!I'm sure I will get around to the Granny Smith (my wife will love that) and the Pear. The Pear is only 4% but what the heck. I love pears.Tim
barturtle
Most of my favorite ciders are of the pear variety.
Sijan
I like Woodchuck a fair bit. The Amber is good and was my old standby. I think I like the Dark & Dry (brown label) better these days. My girlfriend likes the Granny Smith best.Hornsby's Crisp Apple Cider is probably my favorite.
CrispyCritter
I've liked K Cider from Britain - I tend to order a bottle when I visit a favorite Chicago restaurant. It's a bit on the dry side, but not excessively so, and the apple flavor is superb.
