My parents are in Hawaii for the next few days, and my original plan of having them pick up a cache of Wild Turkey Heritage has been foiled as they haven't had any stock for at least 6 weeks (sorry Oscar and Dawn, but I tried!) No stores in Hawaii had any left, also none in LAX. It's starting to dry up!

So plan B commenced.

I called Larry Kass from Heaven Hill. It was a pleasure to talk to him and he went out of his way to check for me but no Rittenhouse 21/23 or Parkers Heritage Collection went to Hawaii.

So now what? My dad saw a 1.75L Maker's Mark that excited him....I like Maker's, but I can get it here.

Does anyone know of anything out of the ordinary I can get in Hawaii??

Even if it's Weller 12 or something like that. They leave Sunday morning so I need to act fast!

Thanks in advance!

Good thing I didn't know you were trying to help me score one.....I'd be really depressed right now :bigeyes:

I'd love to visit Hawaii someday, so I hope you find out what goodies they have :grin: Surely they have something that you don't have in Australia...you guys don't really have that much!!

What does google find if you look for liquor stores in Hawaii?

Some fast searching may find a good outlet for them to visit.

Failing that, did they see any duty free stuff on the way in?

It may be the only option :frown:

I lived in Waikiki for about 6 weeks awhile ago. I tried to scour that part of the city as well as I could for special whiskey, but came up mostly empty. About the most tempting thing I ever found was WT RB, but at prices well above the mainland norm. I'd be very surprised if you could find anything special there. Not really the right culture for it, and most of the tourists aren't hardcore bourbon enthusiasts.

Well I requested a JD Silver Select (I traded one not long ago so I need to replace it) and a Wild Turkey 12yo. Let's see what happens!
