Corner Creek - which distillery?

I've noticed an increasing prevalence of Corner Creek "Reserve" Bourbon Whiskey in stores and at bars.

The "producer" is listed as "Corner Creek Distilling Co." Anyone know which distillery (or distilleries) are the source of this whisky, and more importantly, whether it's any good? Certainly an attractive price if it stands up to the premium moniker - I've seen it for well under $20/bottle.

Not sure what its contents are, although you might find some info if you do a search of the forums.

I've had it before, and I have to say that I think it's pretty decent bourbon for the price.

I am not sure where this stuff is distilled. My bottle says Bardstown, KY. It also has a very nasty grassy flavor reminescent of some of the worst stuff to come from Heaven Hill. I am going to guess DSP-KY-31. But take that with a grain of salt. I am giving my bottle a few months to 'settle down' before I pour it down the drain. It's that bad. But I may have a bad bottle as some people seem to really enjoy Corner Creek.

Creek is the only one I truely dislike.

For a long time, this was my sentiment exactly. I still sampled it from time to time. Oddly, when I finally got down to the last couple of inches or so, it became, not great, but pretty competent young whiskey. I still won't be buying it again.

I have to say that the 2 or 3 bottles of this I have had over the years have been quite good for the price; but, considering that this is a 3rd party bottling, and taking into account the current shortage of well-aged or even "good" whiskey available to independent bottlers, it is likely that what is being bottled today bears little if any resemblance to that which sported the same label in the past. And then there is the 4-grain mystery...

I have suggested that as well. In fact, I think that is the most likely explanation. Not that it was a deliberate falsehood, mostly just someone writing label copy who was ignorant of the facts.

I'm certain that I read that somewhere. KBD doesn't own the label, of course.

I had it at a bar here in D.C. and rather liked it, but that was a couple of years ago. I have no idea if they've changed the recipe or not.

I am definitely able to sell it for under $20/bottle, though.

I also noticed for the first time a bottle of Corner Creek a few months ago. I bought a bottle and found it pretty good. It is unique and very dry.
