New to me?

I am not a big Scotch drinker....but, I do keep an eye out for some friends though. Saw a brand called "Royal Jubilee" in a store the other day. Does anyone have some info on the booze in the bottle? Looked to be a UD product from some of the packaging. Also said something about it being for an aniversary of a Queen. Bottle is probably from the late 80's early 90's. Thanks for the help.

I looked on the internet, but did not find very much info on Royal Jubilee. I did discover that the main Spec's store in Houston (in Austin, also?) sells Royal Jubilee Deluxe Scotch, a blended scotch. There are actually two versions, a Red Label and a Black Label. I have not tasted this whisky or ever heard anything about it. From Spec's prices, I'm assuming this is not one of your better blended scotches. As far as this being an older scotch and having some value, I'm afraid blended scotches usually do not have much of a collection value.

I saw that as well. This bottle is somewhat older and says that it is 100% Scotch whiskey. Not single malt so it should be a blend of singles or something similar. It appears to have been around for quite some length of time. It doesn't cost much so maybe I'll let one of my friends try it and see. IIRC, they have marked it down 30% or so....$15/ltr.

Is there a name of the bottler or blender on the label and from what village do they come from?Like to help you but there are a lot brands called something with royal,it can also be a exportname for the U.S. only.

Well, saw the bottle again....

Says: Gordon Chasetime Int. Ltd.

100% Scotch Whiskey Distilled and Bottled in Scotland

For Queen Eliz. II and 25 years of service or something to that extent...

I doubt that there is any info on this since there is no upc code. Must be pretty old. I'll take a bottle to a friends house, who likes scotch, next time I go.
