bluesbassdad
If it's plastic (usually) and it separates into two pieces when opened for the first time (one piece remaining on the neck of the bottle), then it's tamper-evident or "te". (I'm pretty sure that the T-E caps on several scotch blends are made of metal.)For example, compare Evan Williams (no age statement), which has a T-E cap, with Evan Williams Single Barrel, which has the more traditional cork stopper, wrapped in paper (or foil, I don't recall which). To my eye the latter is pretty tamper evident, too. Sometimes there's no explaining terminology.Yours truly,Dave Morefield
ILLfarmboy
After receiving a bottle of ORVW 10 year 107 from Sam's that had been opened, I found myself wishing that the bottle had a cork stopper wrapped in foil. Far More evidentiary.
