Old Heaven Hill 8 year??

Picked up a bottle of Old Heaven hill 8 year - 86 proof. It has a white label and the bottle/lable looks just like the HH 10 year. Does anyone know anything about this bourbon?? It was fairly dusty and I have never seen it in oregon. It is very rare here with state run stores to find anything out of the norm. I did a search but found nothing on the HH 8 year variety. Is it a descent pour??

Is it in a glass bottle. If so, there should be a two digit date on the bottom right of the bottle bottom. That would help a bit.

Yeah- its a glass bottle- the only two digit # stamped into the bottom glass is 00 so I assume that means 2000?

I am not sure when HH went to the plastic bottle for that brand. I do have a bottle of the regular HH 86 proof from 1994 that is very tasty. Has alot of mint with the regular HH profiled flavors. For the price, $16.99 I believe it was a good buy. I would guess that you will be much happier with your 8 year old product. If the math works out right....yours should be from DSP 31 before the fire.

Just had a small pour and it tastes very good- actually I was very suprised at how smooth and tasty it was. For $13.75 I think I will pick up a few more!

I have had couple of these bottles several of years ago. It was one of the first bottles of bourbon that the Swedish government store sold. I did like it a lot at the time.
