Joeluka
I know of 3 bottle variations. 1- The original green glass Lawrenceburg bottling (Rye not wheated Bourbon).2- The clear glass Lawrenceburg (wheated S-W)3- The clear glass Frankfort (wheated S-W)The first 20 yr, the green glass, was the 99 pointer that really jump started the older bourbon frenzy. When JVW III switched to the clear glass Lawrenceburg he started using his S-W honey barrels, the rating stayed the same and the age of searching the rick-houses for barrels of much older whiskey really took off. Then JVW III partnered with BT, the label was switched to Frankfort, but the bourbon stayed S-W.
