What is it like?

I haven't opened it yet. I was just trying to find out if others have tried it and what they thought. It is one for the collection.

I wasn't overly impressed with it. It was OK, but overpriced and had a taste quite similar to some of Heaven Hill's other expressions.

The thing with non-distiller producers is that they buy their whiskey where they can so they can't necessarily be consistent. It's possible, of course, that's it's just a difference of taste, but with a product like that it's also possible that Joe got, in effect, a completely different whiskey, i.e., a good one. If he buys it again, he might not be so lucky.

The stuff I've had has clearly been HH bourbon. I've sampled from three bottles, one of which was reminiscent to me of the best KBD bottlings. The other two were reminiscent of some not-so-great HH expressions I've had: overly eucalyptus-driven and short and hot on the finish. It's hit-or-miss, as Chuck said. If you got a good bottle, congratulations. If not, I have no opposition to using any bourbon as kitchen whiskey. Once you torch it and then boil it down, the eucalyptus disappears.
