drunkenjayhawk
Break out the sensitivity training dvds. But to be back on topic, a salesman at a local store told me that May 12th they expect more Wellers in. He acted like all the various expressions but we'll see. I have a hunch that Centennial wont be one. But hopefully more antique and 12 yo would be great.
swampguy
Just pick up a litre for 26.15 tax, licence and drive out. Good juice for sure.
Gillman
Last year I had the chance to sample some Kentucky Bourbon Society single barrel bottings which were 9 years old, as were similar bottles bottled for a couple of retailers (Liquor Barn was one). While these were very good, they seemed to have a little less of the fruity signature of the brand, a plum-like fruitiness I find unique even amongst the Weller range. These older ones were a little more woody than I recalled from the "regular" 107. The 9 year versions were I believe from Bernheim, and must have been UDV-produced before the sale of the brand to BT. I suppose most of the earlier 107s I'd had were made there too, and I wonder when BT started to make it itself. In Bardstown recently, I bought a regular Weller 107, at Toddy's, and to me it seemed to have more of the signature fruitiness I like. Maybe this is 7 year whiskey, presumably made at BT, or maybe it is 9 or even 10 year whiskey now, mingled to achieve a profile. However it works, I find Weller 107, at its best, about the most perfect bourbon I've ever had.I had a gold vein Weller 107 from Gazebo table recently and it was similar to the best of the current issue.I was sorry to hear it is in short supply but gladdened that the shortage is temporary and we will see it in normal supply once current stocks have aged sufficiently.Gary

To me it is incredible that whiskey of this quality can be released for under $20.00. I just hope that BT doesn't screw with the product or the price.Joe :usflag:
