fishnbowljoe
I'm on vacation in Florida. The people we're staying with were gracious enough to have a 1.75 of JB on hand for me. But.... I'm on vacation. Stopped at a Winn-Dixie Monday. They had a pretty decent selection of bourbon. Got myself a bottle of ER 10yr and our host a bottle of Rain Vodka. We ate at a very nice restaurant last night since it was our hosts wifes birthday. Tried a manhattan with EWSB. Not bad. Might head out tonight on a search to see what else is out there. Kinda fun to see what liquor stores in other areas of the country have. So far a great vacation with good times, good friends and great bourbon. "It don't get no better than this" Cheers! mozilla
Hope you have a great time!I always look for new Bottled in Bond bourbons, ryes and corns while touring. There are just never enough in Texas to keep me satisfied.

fishnbowljoe
We're staying in Marco Island with some friends who have a place here. So far it's been perfect. Temperatures in the mid/upper80's during the day, and the mid 60's at night. Always a nice breeze. Today is a "take it easy" day. Might get to go check out a couple of places later today. Not really looking for dusties, just seeing if any of the places down here have something different that I might want to try. Did have a nice experience on the flight down. The flight attendant was from our area, and I inquired about any bourbon minis. Right before we got off the plane she gave me two MM minis and gave me a wink and a smile. That was a pretty nice way to start off our trip. Will post more later. Hope I find something interesting. If not I know I'll have fun looking. chilidawg7
welcome to Florida! I'm up in Central Florida. We usually don't have quite the bourbon selection down here that you have up your way, but our weather is much better!
anyexcuse
I just used a trip to TN to pick up a bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel in Paducah KY. I should have bought more than one, I really like it and I can't get it here in MN!
ggilbertva
If your allowed to receive liquor shipments in MN, try Binny's, they have FRSB in stock.
JasonFalls
My wife and I went to Cancun two years ago and all our resort had was ET. While it's not my favorite, it certainly was acceptable considering my closest alternative was rum. The incident has, in fact, opened up my selection a bit to stroll down memory lane and try some lower-shelf brands from time to time just for fun. Of course, sometimes it's anything but fun, but it's nice to diversify from time to time.

This opens up options for me. Thanks again, Richard
shyster512
Two months ago, I visited Minnesota (Rochester) and the few bars I went to had a very limited supply of bourbon-Makers Mark, Jim Beam, and of course they would say Jack Daniels. I am wondering if it was just the bars I visited or will I find that to be the case most places when I visit my son who is moving there in July? I am wondering if it was just the bars I visited or will I find that to be the case most places when I visit my son who is moving there in July? In outstate MN where I live the bar selection is pathetic. Some don't even have JBW. Once in a while I can find WT 101  , and MM is even kinda rare. Many times I have just settled for a beer. It seems to me years ago the selection was better. Has bourbon become drastically less popular lately nationwide?

I don't get to the cities much, but it is sure a lot closer than KY! Guess I might have to go visit my brother in St. Paul more......... Thanks! fishnbowljoe
Just back from vacation in Florida. Thought I'd share some pics. #1. Me and my vacation bottle of Blanton's at sunset in the Gulf of Mexico #2. Said bottle of Blanton's #3. Said sunset #4. My wife and I and our good friends The people that we booked the sunset sailing cruise with did a great job. Snacks, a shrimp tray, beer, wine, champagne, and other goodies were all part of the package. Good friends, good bourbon, good food, and a champagne toast at sunset. Had a great time. Joe
