Pappy 23 mishap (fact or fiction)?

I have heard through the grapevine (and we know how poor that is) that there was a pappy 23 mishap where either the "B" version or "c" version had some barrel mix-up (or something like that) where some of the bottles are not as good as the rest (sounds like a bad sesame street song... one of these things is not like the other, one of these things are not the same).... sorry, I digress.

Anyone heard this rumor or can someone state as fact this was not the same... (i would like to believe that this is not a fact, but a misunderstanding of some details)... Julian?
