Stagg Wins Best American Whiskey.

Apparently, the winners of WHISKY Magazine's 2008 World Whisky Awards were announced two weeks ago. The issue of the magazine in which they will appear hasn't been issued yet.

Anyway, George T. Stagg Bourbon won Best American Whiskey. The 2007 winner was Baker's Bourbon.

Wild Turkey American Honey won for best whiskey-based liqueur.

In what I'm certain was a surprise to many in Scotland, the winner for Best Single Malt Whiskey is a Japanese product, Yoichi 20 Years Old.
