BTAC - WLW vs GTS - anyone prefer the Weller?

after having a bottle of the WLW for a couple of weeks I'm finding I prefer its flavor to that of the GTS (regardless of their respective proofs, which in this case is 117.9 for the Weller and 144.8 for the Stagg).

not that there's anything wrong with the Stagg, but even when both are watered down to roughly 107 it still seems as though the Weller has a smoother and overall more pleasant taste.

anyone else feel the same?

Agree... but I do like the 2005 WLW.

Love the 2005 & 2006 WLW. The 2007, IMHO, is merely W12 at a higher proof and not worth the premium in price.

Also love the GTS, but in 2005 & 2006 the WLW was my favorite of the BTAC.

I prefer both '05 Staggs over WLW by a long way.

I gotta give the edge in '06 to WLW. Nothing wrong with GTS that year, it's just that WLW was that good, and then some.

Can't speak to '07 ... yet.
