ebo
Picked up a Lagavulin 12 CS last week at the LCBO. Expensive but special.I've had one bottle of it. It was great. I wish I could buy it in Ohio, but I have to mail order it.............. and that's a pain because of the legal age signing thing.
Clavius
Picked up a bottle of Johnnie Walker Green. Haven't opened it yet but I hope it is good considering the single malts used.

Megawatt
I received a Wild Geese Irish Soldiers & Heroes blend for my birthday. This will be my first foray into Irish Whiskey and I'm excited to expand my palate and enjoy some foreign WhiskEy.I tried a Wild Geese blend (43% alc/vol) in an Irish whiskey tasting. It was actually one of the better ones that night. Nice soft lemony notes.
boss302
I tried a Wild Geese blend (43% alc/vol) in an Irish whiskey tasting. It was actually one of the better ones that night. Nice soft lemony notes.Just bought a bottle of Michael Collins (Irish, Blend), John L Sullivan (Irish, Blend), and Jura 10-year (Scotch, Single Malt). The Michael Collins I'm already familiar with-- it's a great blend, almost identical to Kilbeggan in taste. And, since I can't get Kilbeggan in PA, this is my "go-to" Irish. I swear there is a hint of apple in both the nose and finish. The John Sullivan is also a Cooley blend, but is supposed to use a higher proportion of first-use oak in their barrels, so it should be a little bolder. The Jura 10 I bought on a whim. I'd much rather have their peated Superstition, but, again, I live in PA.
drunk
Finally pulled the trigger on the Redbreast CS last night and had to open it up right away. Tons of fruit on the palate and an incredible nose. Probably the easiest drinking 100+ proof I've ever had. I had to check the bottle to make sure they didn't swap it out with the regular version. Great stuff. dohidied
Grabbed a Trader Joe's Single Malt Irish yesterday. Having my first sips now and I'm impressed for $20. I get a lot of golden raisins on the palate. This is thoroughly pleasant and drinkable.

boss302
Just visited a good buddy of mine in Delaware. Taking me to the best stores nearby is quickly becoming a tradition for us. I have gotten so frustrated with the PA liquor system that I am now reducing my liquor runs to once a month, and I am driving an hour and a half to Delaware to make said monthly liquor runs. So, without further ado--- Glenmorangie Astar- Glenmorangie Finnealta (now a rarity, as the limited run is up)- Glenmorangie Artein- 2 bottles of Evan Williams Single Barrel, 2001 Vintage (holy crap is this stuff good!) boss302
Forgot to mention the Compass Box Asyla. This is probably going to become my new "daily pour."Just like they promise-- high-quality oak, a high proportion of malt, and a mellow 80 proof. Everything a Scotch-loving man needs. AaronWF
I brought home a bottle of Spingbank 10/100. Has this expression changed much over the years? I had a terrific taste from a bar bottle 9 months ago, but I think the one I got is an older bottling. The label is light in color instead of the black I see in recent pictures, and there's an insert in the box that talks about 2004 as being in the future. I'm not sure how far into the future 2004 was at bottling, but I have to assume it's from the early '00s.I'm excited to get into it, but I should really finish an open bottle of scotch first... My scotches tend to stay open much, much longer than my bourbons and ryes.

I haven't had earlier ones, so I can't corroborate.Springbank is my favorite scotch brand, and the 10/100s I've had are gone as quickly as my bourbons, while my other scotches just sit there, like yours do.
