PhilsFan
My friend from work, Keith and his wife Sarah attended a Four Roses tasting hosted by Jim Rutledge at the new Westport Whiskey and Wine on Friday. They are brand new parents of Henry Taylor born on April 24.Keith found bottles of Four Roses Small Batch, bottled on April 25, 2008, the day after Henry was born. He thought it would be a wonderful keepsake to have one of those bottles signed by Jim Rutledge.Jim not only signed the bottle, but wrote a special inscription to Henry, telling him that it was bottled especially in honor of his birth, and that he was not to open it until his 21st birthday in 2029!Jim sounds like a great gentleman and representative of Four Roses and I look forward to meeting him at an event one day.-Joe
Rughi
I usually don't get too excited about a FAMOUS PERSON's signature being on something I own; on the occasions I've been face to face with heroes of mine, I've asked to shake their hand instead. But this one is probably the classiest signing of which I've ever heard. Jim's a great guy, and it makes me proud that I've had the chance to shake his hand.Roger
