which weller in the square bottle

after having already made my purchase from my last paycheck at the local store with the best supply of bourbons, I noticed a bottle of some sort of Weller's in a square sort of bottle that looked just like the Elmer T Lee bottles--I believe the price was about $35. Pictures I have seen on here of Weller bourbons were in different bottles--anybody know what this was? I won't be able to get back for a bit and wonder if it's something I should be picking up.

The 10yr Centennial is no longer bottled....so, like Joe says.........BUY IT! Or suffer the consequeces. Consequence being, you might not ever get to taste it.

Depends on how old it is. It would have to have been on the shelf for a long time... so I doubt it... but it is one of the best current produced bourbons out there to me... I have 27 bunkered (way more than any other bourbon I have - WT1885 is next with 5)...

They just pulled it off the line, so I expect to see that same bourbon back for a 50 to 100% markup....

A true must get of at least one...

If it says Frankfort, Kentucky in the bottom right then no. Louisville, Kentucky; yes and then a wonderful bargain.

ok, you peer pressured me into it--made a special trip back and grabbed both bottles haven't opened one yet as I have so many other bottles open at the moment, but it shouldn't take long.

So if you look at the bottom center of the front label it should say Frankfort or Louisville.

I kinda hope you got one of each so you can do a side by side and give us your thoughts!

Frankfort's, but yummy just the same--very different somehow--wish she had more bottles! I'll have to ask if she can get any more...she got these because I had asked if she could get any Weller's

Awesome find and for sure, you never know if the supplier has a case still lying around, so for sure inquire.

So the Screen name? 2002 WRX or just a coincidence? Just asking as I am a SUBI fan and owner!

Assuming I can't get any more...is this a Buffalo trace product then? What would be the closest thing to the Centennial?

yep, I had one of the earlier 02 wrx's, back when most people had no idea what they were--used to surprise lots of folks then I swapped it for the first 05 Legacy GT in the area and one of the relatively few of the regular, non limited models. Too bad they still don't make those with the cloth, 5 spd, no sunroof (I'm over 6 feet and can't spare the headroom).

That was a great car as far as having gobs of torque--rarely had to downshift with that sucker. Then I went in a new direction and swapped that on one of the 06 Mazda mx-5's--quite a change haha. But it's lots of fun to drive while netting me 32-34 mpg on average, so it worked out well in that regard too.

Centennial is an awesome Weller. Get all ya can when you see it. I have 2 bottles (one opened). I need to get more but finances wont let me at the moment or I would for sure. Same goes for Weller 12 yr.
