It was because, of those on the list I put out, the most people responded positively to them. I found all of them in a local liquor store except for OF, which I ordered from Binny's.

So tell me, is bourbon big in So-Cal?

There was a guy here on the boards that used to score some nice old bottles down there.

Do you ever get down to the San Dieago area, there are nice old dusties to be found down there.

I wouldn't say it's big. We have about three really excellent liquor stores for whiskey down here that keep me pretty well stocked.

I haven't really found a good source of dusties here. It seems like the liquor stores are either high-end, having mostly new stuff, or just the standard selection (Beam, Makers', WT, etc.), but maybe I just am not looking at the right places.

I don't make it to San Diego much. I'm in central LA (Koreatown/Hollywood).
