kitzg
In CEO Owsley Brown II's presentation today (July 25) to the annual shareholders' meeting of Brown-Forman no bourbon products were mentioned except a reference to Old Forester in the historical context that George Garvin Brown had a forward, positive thinking attitude about the OF brand when he founded the firm. The fact that no bourbons were mentioned is not surprising since the speech focused on the effect of the economy and external factors on BF value and results. Jack Daniels was highlighted as doing well globally with flat depletions in the U.S but worldwide growth. Southern Comfort is up both in the U.S. and globally and their wine volumes are up.
