I just bought a bottle of the First Edition of Parker's Heritage Collection. (I just ordered it from Binnys, so I don't have it yet.)

Any comments? Has anyone tried it yet? Bettye Jo, what do you know about it?

Being a first release, I couldn't pass it up.

Thank you!

Fred

Although Binnys have First release listed on their site, it's not the first 'proof release'.

What they mean it is the first of 4 in the series.

The proof they have is 127.4 I believe (I got 2 from them) though I haven't opened one yet.

This fall from what I understand.

ACDetroit's sources in KY said that it will be a 27 year old.

But a 27yo of what?

Originally Heaven Hill said there would be 4 releases of the PHC, a bourbon, wheat, rye and corn.

So what is not known, to me at least, is this 27yo going to be another bourbon or rye?

If it is going to be a bourbon then it looks like there will be 5 in the collection.

Does HH have some 27yo bourbon?

Or even 27yo rye?

Willet AKA Kentucky Bourbon Distillers put out a 25yo bourbon on the west coast last year and they buy most of their stuff from HH.

And HH's Rittenhouse put out a 23yo rye a couple years ago.

Either way I am on board.
