I was just asking last night if you had entered into the homebrew competition again this year...looks like you did well! Congrats!

Congratulations, Jeff. I really need to get my beers into competition sometime, but moreover, I think I need to taste some of yours, particularly the porter; it's one of my favorite styles. If you'd care to share the recipe, I'd love to see it.

Regards,

Nicely done, Jeff. I'd love to try one of those sometime. BTW, I might be down in your neck of the woods sometime this fall for kayaking.

Thanks guys! I'll try and post the recipe for the porter tonight, I just need to remember where I put it  I'm going to try and have some of these beers at the Bourbon festival if anyone wants to try them. Jeremy, PM me if you get down this way and we'll hook up for a drink. :toast:

Jeff, One of the guys here at work is into home brewing and entered the State Fair competition for the first time this year. Going up against you he didn't have a chance...Congratulations!

This was my first Kentucky State Fair and it was a hoot. I can't say it's better than the Minnesota one, but I can't say it's worse. I can say I spent a lot less time under the sun. That was nice.

I came in through the flea market hall and into the one with the free prostate exams and the beer. Interesting combo.

While I did enjoy seeing the livestock (and was disappointed that sheep and swine are only shown later), that end of the hall from the beer back to the textiles was my favorite.

Was that stuff in the baked goods room just for 4H kids or is it open to adults? I ask because I am pretty sure I could kick some pizza ass.
