My George Dickel Dusty Bargain Haul

I noticed these in a shop that I was cleaning out of their under-priced Van Winkle products. Once I had raised some more cash I went back for these old boys. The clerk ID'd himself as being one of my students from 1993 or abouts and thus was pleased to go into the back to fetch the remainder of their stock of Dickel for me. It is hard to tell how old these are but they were encrusted with dust and seem to have been there quite a few years. Regardless, these five bottles came home with me for $24.99 each and that is at least $10 less per bottle than they sell for anywhere else in SoFla. This is nice as I much prefer Dickel to Jack Daniels and like to keep a bottle around for when the fancy strikes me. Now I have enough for the remainder of this decade!

Thanks. Above is a photo of another recent haul. Please notice the Dickel on the right. That is hard stuff to find these days. There was a time that Dickel was hard to find in SoFla. In those days I made certain to lay in a bottle whenever I was out of state to replenish my stock. I like Dickel so much I consider it a staple of my everyday life.

Nice! It's always great to get away with a haul of hard-to-find stuff you love. As a devout disciple of the Dickel, I'm glad to see others able to find it, I don't know what I'd do if my supply ran out.
